Every year, Lethbridge and area community members come together to write letters on behalf of prisoners of conscience from all over the world. We supply everything you need - paper, pens and postage - we just need you to come and write the letters! Never written a letter like this before? No problem, we can help!

There will be live music, a silent auction, refreshments, and more! The event is FREE, open to the public, and for all ages.

UPDATE:

Thanks to everyone that came to Write for Rights at the Owl Acoustic Lounge! We are happy to report that over 200 letters were written by attendees. We were also able to raise $539. Keep in mind you can continue to write letters - find the campaigns at Amnesty.ca OR meet us at the next Letter Writing Circle on the first Tuesday of the month at Owl Acoustic Lounge.

The cost to send over 200 letters is a huge expense for our Action Circle - (~150 international letters @ $.2.50 each = $375) + (~10 USA letters @ $1.20 = $12.00) + (~50 @ $0.85 = $42.50) = $430+ in stamps
