Sonny Dhoot is completing his BA in Sociology at the University of Lethbridge.Areas of focus in academia and activism include feminist thought; Queer/LGBTTIQQ2S issues; First Nations, Inuit and Métis issues, including aspects of neo-colonialism; genocide/divestment in addition to human rights and globalization.
Tseten Drawu has a B.Sc. and works at the virology laboratory in Lethbridge. She is currently taking courses in counselling, and is active in the Tibetan community.
Audra Foggin has a B.A. and B.S.W. and is active in the First Nations community. She is a board member of South West Child and Family Services, and has worked extensively in the health field.
Lise Fox has worked as a Registered Nurse for many years. Prior to becoming a nurse she travelled over a four year period to many parts of the world, and experience that provided her with a broad interest in international issues and culture.
Thomas Fox is completing his B.Sc. in Environmental Science, and is on the board of directors of the Lethbridge Public Interest Research Group. He enjoys chess, snowboarding, and playing guitar in his spare time.
Katelynn Goodwin is completing her B.Sc. with a major in neuroscience at the University of Lethbridge. She participated in the Global Youth Leadership Conference, and has worked with the Lupus Society of Alberta.
Dr. Priti Maheshwari has a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in biotechnology and a B.Sc. in microbiology. She is the recipient of numerous fellowships and travel awards, and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Lethbridge.
Troy Nickle attended the Alberta College of Art and Design and the University of Lethbridge, focusing on studies in Fine Arts. He currently works as an art teacher at the Bowman Arts Centre and as a practicing artist.
Kamal Rizal, originally from Bhutan and Nepal, has an MBA in Marketing and Human Resources Management and has worked in several schools as teacher and principal. Amnesty International secured the release of his father, Mr. Tek Nath Rizal who was a prisoner of conscience imprisoned in Bhutan for 10 years.
Sherrill Smith has travelled extensively, and is currently working with people who are mentally and physically challenged.
Sarah Sweet Grass is the Telecommunications Administrator for the Blood Tribe. She is a qualified Youth Educator with specialized training in suicide intervention and prevention.
Alicia Visser has a B.A. in Peace and Conflict Transformation Studies, and works at L’Arche Lethbridge and the Gem of the West Museum. She is excitedly awaiting the arrival of her first child.
Nuzreth Vanrobaeys has recently completed her Bachelor of Management with great distinction. She has volunteered with a number of organizations including the International Students’ Association at the University of Lethbridge and the Chinook Health Region.
Arron Wilson is passionate about social justice, focusing most of his energy on queer issues, food security, and refugee and poverty matters.
